Do you love reading? Cullman City Schools is using our WDYRLN reading program to build a true joy of reading in our students through art, music, discussion, and reading, reading, reading! We have just ended our first year of this program and can't wait to see what the new year holds. Schools too often focus on teaching reading but lose sight of the need to create lifelong readers who read because they love it. This program wants to give them opportunities to not just learn to read but also to share the things they read that they love. Planning meeting

Time to stir up the brain cells. The Dynamic Kudzu Reading Committee will be meeting in a couple of weeks to brainstorm ideas for this school year. I can't wait to hear what the other members want to do this year. Everything I see and hear leads me to believe this is the right direction for us to go. We MUST share our love of reading with our students. Their lives will be richer for it.
