Do you love reading? Cullman City Schools is using our WDYRLN reading program to build a true joy of reading in our students through art, music, discussion, and reading, reading, reading! We have just ended our first year of this program and can't wait to see what the new year holds. Schools too often focus on teaching reading but lose sight of the need to create lifelong readers who read because they love it. This program wants to give them opportunities to not just learn to read but also to share the things they read that they love. Bulletin Board

Since we're starting a new school year, I thought our students would be interested in seeing pictures of our new faculty, teachers and nurse, and hearing about what they like to read. My aide snapped pictures and we picked the new folks' brain about their favorite books/authors. I heard of new titles that I'll be looking forward to reading, maybe the students will be likewise inspired. I live in hope....
